Flights to Sri Lanka
Several airlines depart from the UK to Sri Lanka. The only direct flights to Colombo are operated by Sri Lankan Airlines. All other airlines go via the Middle East.
Sri Lankan Airlines
The Sri Lankan national carrier is the only airline with a direct service to Colombo. Flights are from London Heathrow, terminal 4; 11 flights per week, 3 of which are via Male in the Maldives. Most flights leave London in the afternoon or evening.

Sri Lankan Airlines also operate an Air Taxi service using amphibious aircraft (Turbo Otter) to 12 destinations within Sri Lanka. Flight times are approximately 80% less than by road. |

Qatar Airways
Flights from London Heathrow & London Gatwick as well as 4 weekly flights from Manchester. All flights have a stop-over in Doha.
Visas: UK citizens can enter Sri Lanka as holiday makers without a visa and remain 30 days.
Bandaranayake International Airport is 34km (20 miles) from Colombo city centre.
